How SAVYA verifies professionals

What we check before a profile goes live, what each badge means, and what we do not check yet.

Choosing a professional for a legal or financial matter is a real decision. Verification exists so you can start from a list of people whose credentials have been checked — not just self-declared.

What we check today

  • Practice credentials — such as ICAI membership for Chartered Accountants or Bar Council enrolment for advocates — submitted as documents and reviewed by a member of our team.
  • Practice details on the profile, including the profession, experience and specialisations listed.
  • Supporting documents such as a government-issued ID, where provided.

What the badges mean

  • Verified Professional — our team has approved the profile. Profiles that are not approved are never listed in search.
  • Verified Credentials — practice documents have been reviewed by a person.
  • Client Reviews — reviews can only be left by clients who completed a paid consultation through SAVYA.
  • Verified Identity — automated identity checks are on our roadmap and labelled “Coming soon” until they are live.

What verification is not

Verification confirms credentials; it is not a guarantee of outcome or an endorsement of specific advice. Professionals on SAVYA are independent and responsible for the advice they give. Always read a profile carefully, ask questions in an enquiry, and choose the person who fits your situation.

Spotted something wrong?

If you believe a profile is inaccurate, contact our support team. We review every report.
